The World in My Backpack
This resource models relevant skills and processes through the teacher working with a classroom text and provides students with the opportunity to work with texts of their choice.

Whilst engaged in a reading journey, students complete a series of activities developing reading skills and strategies. Students are required to select a novel on a theme of interest and then locate and read two additional texts on the same theme. In addition to writing entries in a travel journal during their reading, students write about what they have learnt about the theme of their reading across the range of texts.
